Small project, vibrant impact grants are exactly what the name describes - simple, short-term, low cost solutions that could have meaningful impacts on the shaping of neighborhoods and our community. There are so many great ideas and proposals for making life better in Stillwater. We know how impactful $500 or $1000 can be. This is our way of extending some seed money to get these projects off the ground.


Our inspiration for the grant program: Chuck Marohn, founder and CEO of Strong Towns, spoke as part of the Vibrant Stillwater Community Conversation Series in March 2022. He shared the importance of helping people improve their lives and communities around them on a small scale. This was the spark for our community grant program.


Our focus: Both Vibrant Stillwater and the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce are focused on creating a strong, vibrant community that leads to economic growth and increased quality of life in Stillwater. Our desire is to support projects or events that aim to create a sense of "place", improve the lives of residents and/or increase community connection and communication.
